Claim:
We found several videos being shared online suggesting alien sightings in India, especially Rajasthan.
Similar claims are being shared online along with videos claimed to be real.
Investigation:
We started the investigation of these videos one by one.
We extracted screenshots from the video and ran a reverse image search on the same.
Several such videos were being widely shared on YouTube too.
We found the video posted a year ago on the YouTube channel of Jaden Sprinz. The video had 81 million views. There was no description added to the video.
We found Jaden’s X account through the channel.
We found a longer version of the video posted on his Instagram handle.
A few of the captions on his reels mentioned, “I went to Area 51“.
Lighthouse Journalism has reached out to Jaden Sprinz for a comment, we will update the fact check after we get a comment on the same.
This video was vertical a combination of three videos.
We found the first video through a Yandex reverse image search on the YouTube channel ‘EL GAP’.
We also found the video on the YouTube channel, Refrigeration System and Cold Rooms.
Several comments on these videos suggested that the video was made using digital tools.
The middle clip was found on the Instagram handle of chaos_factory.
On one of the videos the user mentioned, that the video was filmed with Digital Combat Simulator. Digital Combat Simulator is a combat flight simulation game developed primarily by Eagle Dynamics and The Fighter Collection.
We found the third clip on the Instagram handle of ‘sybervisions_‘.
The bio of the page mentioned: AI-VFX artist. Filmmaker. Surreal world scenes.
This confirmed that the video was made using digital tools.
We found the video on the X handle of UFObot.
According to the YouTube channel ‘ufoofinterest’, the original source of the video was horrorporn.com. The movie title was ‘Roswell UFO’.
The claim stated that the video showed alien spotted in Rajasthan, India.
We found the clip on YouTube channel Agent Five, the video was uploaded in 2016, and the people in the comment section, rubbished the clips, calling it fake.
This video too suggested that an alien was spotted in Rajasthan.
We found the video uploaded on YouTube channel, ‘enteresan’ uploaded in the year 2013.
A YouTube channel ung h posted the video 11 years ago.
The translation of the caption suggested: 914 UFO incident in Yanjiao woods. UFO and aliens were photographed in Yanjiao, Hebei Province (subtitled edited version) HD
The background and the movement in the video suggests that the video was made using digital tools.
Several such videos are being shared widely on social media platforms, however, there are no news reports to confirm these sightings.
Conclusion: Viral videos shared online claiming alien sightings in India are either unrelated, or generated using various digital tools. Viral claims are false.
