A video of senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge is being widely shared on several social media platforms. In the video he is seen calling Congress fake and that Congress leaders keep black money. During the investigation we found the viral claim to be misleading. Viral video is edited.

YouTube channel Public Power Media shared the viral video.
Other users too are sharing the same video.
Investigation:
In the video Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge was seen saying, “…..अरे मोदी प्रधानमंत्री है, वो कैसे झूठ बोल सकता है? जोर से बोलो…यहां से दिल्ली तक आवाज जाना चाहिए….कांग्रेस पार्टी झूठ है…कांग्रेस पार्टी के लोग काला धन रखते है…..!”
Translation: Modi is Prime Minister, how can he lie? Say loudly, your voice should reach Delhi, Congress party is a lie, people of Congress keep black money.
We ran a reverse image search on the keyframes obtained from the video and found that the video was streamed during the Lok Sabha elections.
We found the video uploaded on Oneindia Hindi YouTube channel.
The video was titled: LIVE: Sonia, Priyanka and Kharge Public Rally in Jaipur, Rajasthan | Lok Sabha Election 2024
Kharge arrives on stage to speak at 48 mins in the video. At around 53 mins he was heard saying, “Modi is PM how can he lie”. Then he asks is Modi a liar or Congress party is a liar? Then he adds, “Modi said, Congress party people keep their black money in other countries, I will bring that and distribute it, did he do it?”
This confirms that the video is altered.
In the edited video at the bottom of the screen, ‘PALAM SOUND’ is seen. This was found on the YouTube channel of ANI News.
Conclusion: Edited video of Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge accepting Congress members possessing black money is edited. Viral claims are misleading.
