The social media platforms are abuzz with the pre-wedding celebrations of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani. While several prominent guests attended the event in Jamnagar there are a few images that are being shared on social media platforms that caught our attention. The images are of Elon Musk, CEO of X, SpaceX and Tesla Motors dressed up in a sherwani being shared with the claim that he was spotted at the Ambani party. However, after investigation it was found that the images are AI generated.
Claim:
X user @AliSuMiOfficial shared the image on his profile.
Other users too are sharing the image with the same claim.
Investigation:
Through several media reports we found out that Elon Musk did not attend the pre-wedding party of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
We also observed the images being circulated. These images were very smooth and also the backgrounds of the images were blurred, this hinted that the images are AI generated.
We found out that the first image was shared by X user DogeDesigner on his profile and second image was posted as a reply to this tweet by X user @PrinceAnand007
Running the images through AI image detector Hive Moderation confirmed that both the images are AI generated.
Conclusion: Viral claim of X CEO Elon Musk attending the Ambani pre-wedding bash is false. AI generated images of Elon Musk are being shared on social media platforms with false claims.
