After the terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley on 22nd April that killed 26 tourists, India informed Pakistan of its decision to keep the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance with immediate effect, saying Pakistan has breached the conditions of the treaty.
Troops from Pakistan and India exchanged fire overnight across the line of control in Kashmir. Indian Army confirmed there had been limited firing of small arms that it said had been initiated by Pakistan, adding it had been “effectively responded to”.
Amidst these reports, one video is being widely shared. It is being claimed, using the footage, that the Indian Army has started attacks in Pakistan. During the investigation, we found that the video is from Beirut and not Pakistan.

Instagram user Amit Mishra shared the video with a misleading claim on his profile.

Investigation:
We started the video by uploading the video in the InVid tool and ran a reverse image search on the keyframes obtained from the same.
We found a similar video uploaded on the YouTube channel of Guardian News.
The video was uploaded five months ago. The description said: Footage showed the moment an Israeli strike slammed into a building in the Chiyah area of Beirut’s southern suburbs on 22 November.
We also found a news report in the Associated Press.
We also found the viral visuals as a part of a news report on the YouTube channel of The National Desk. The video was posted four months ago, the visuals were very similar to the viral video.
The anchor said that the video shows Israel’s strike in Lebanon.
We also found the video and the keyframes uploaded five months ago on liveuamap. It said: Video from a very close angle of the raid that targeted a building in Shiyah in the suburb of Beirut
Conclusion: Old video of Israel’s bombing in Lebanon now goes viral, as recent as the Indian Army’s attack on Pakistan. The viral claim is misleading.
