A security crisis unfolded in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Tuesday when separatist militants of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) hijacked the Jaffar Express, a passenger train traveling from Quetta to Peshawar. Pakistan freed the remaining passengers from the train that was hijacked by separatist militants.
During the investigation, we found that the viral videos are unrelated to the recent hijacking.

Video 1:
We started the investigation with the first video, by uploading it to InVid tool and getting keyframes from the video. We ran a reverse image search on these keyframes.
We found the video posted on X profile of TRACTerrorism. The video was posted on July 8, 2024.
The caption said: Hafiz Gul #Bahadur (#HGB) of the #TehreekeTaliban Pakistan (#TTP) Ambushed a Security Forces Convoy in Spin Wam Area, North #Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, #Pakistan – 05 July 2024
This suggests that the video is from 2024 and not recent.

This led us to a video posted by Instagram account of Front Line.

Posted two days ago, the caption of the video said: A fire broke out near Mir Chakar area in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Maymar on Monday. The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
We also found the video posted on YouTube channel of eTimes Pakistan.

The caption stated: #StateAttackedBannuPeaceMarch #pleasesupport . #home Friends of PTM North Waziristan Razmak protested in the market. #StateAttackedBannuPeaceMarch
Conclusion: Unrelated, old videos from Pakistan are being shared as recent from the Pakistan train hijacking incident. The viral claims are misleading.
